YouParkLikeAnAsshole.com

Hey folks! Thanks to my friend Adrian, I found a really useful website that shares a similar objective as ours.

If you have a printer handy, download the notices on that site and educate these rude parking offenders in the best way possible!

And for those offenders reading this blog, it's time to wake up from your self-inflicted nightmare.

Letter to Mr Lim Lip Eng

Please regard this as a brief intermission from our usual Bad Malaysian Drivers posting.

I have written to the MP for my constituency, Mr. Lim Lip Eng, in regards to the traffic jam at TTDI (towards the Sprint highway) during peak hours.

Here's what I wrote:

--------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Mr Lim,

I'm sure you know well about the traffic jam as mentioned in the subject line.
This is not going to be an email rant because I know the reason for the jam is because of the current construction works on the LDP.

However, I would like to find out if the traffic police can be deployed on a more consistent manner to ensure that the traffic jamcan be cleared during peak hours. I found them to be very useful during the evenings but I have not seen them lately. Perhaps we can persuade them to deploy more consistently and even during the morning peak hours, unless of course they have limited resources available to them.

What do you think? Are the traffic police a feasible temporary solution?

Thanks!
Leon Lau

--------------------------------------------------------------

And this is what he wrote back - an admirably fast response :)

--------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Mr Lau,

I agree with u. I will highlight the matter with traffic cop department.

Thanks.

--------------------------------------------------------------

With this email, I have high hopes that the traffic situation will be eased, and therefore we can see some improvement in driving attitude on Malaysian roads.

WGL 7100 - Colour-blind Motorcyclist

Looks like we have another case of selective colour-blindness.

WGL 7100 - the colour-blind motorcyclist. He was looking back frequently but evidently not aware of me prepping up my camera for a shot. I had already anticipated that this fool would beat the red light, and I anticipate more BMDOTDs to make a cameo at this spot (TTDI traffic light turning to Naza).

WFF 712 - Proton Iswara

Caught Mr Ah Beng in the act!

WFF 712 - Off-white Proton Iswara cruising along the LDP, at first glance looking innocuous.

Upon further inspection (and highlighted by a fellow passenger), I come to realize that this young chap was playing with his phone while driving with one hand. He mighta been messaging his girlfriend, telling her that he's on the way and that he's da man for being able to drive & sms at the same time.

Till next time, Ah Beng.

CCL 33 - White Audi Q7

No pictures of the BMDOTD this time. Boy, was I disappointed because this guy was a marvelous piece of work.

CCL 33 - White Audi Q7. A 4WD fresh off the market and ready to make menace on the KL-Karak Highway. Going so close to my rear-end that I could see the piece of meat lodged between the driver's yellow-stained teeth.

These tail-gater folks just don't understand that I can't move to the slower lane because there's cars passing by. Are they intending to cause an accident for their own benefit? In any case this guy managed to zig-zag the road albeit putting other drivers in danger as well.

HWC 2739 - Red Proton Iswara Taxi

HWC 2739 - Red Proton Iswara Taxi. Just loving the yellow box. The driver musta figured, "Why not? Since parking at TTDI market is susah wan, I might as well makit worse..."

WKQ 2946 - Beige Inokom Hyundai Atos

Welcome to the CNY edition! Year of the Tiger: new beginnings, same shitty drivers.

WKQ 2946 - A beige coloured Inokom Atos, another case of "emergency for no cause" here.

Don't be fooled by the reduced frequency of blog posts of late; there are still plenty of mad drivers out there. It's just that I've been having a tough time catching them on camera or remembering their license plate number - the kind of details necessary for a decent write-up.

This Atos driver ain't so bad compared to the others I've seen but unable to catch. Oh well...better luck next time (for him and for me).
